Life – Part 1

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 (NIV)

There’s much to learn about life and I’ve only just begun. Here are some things I’ve been learning along the way:

A true friend is one you can trust to trust in you.

A smile makes a world of difference.

Making a living is not the same as making a life.

One of the best things I can do for my children is to love my wife.

An angry word cancels out countless good words.

Trials are stepping stones to triumph.

The happiest journeys are when God’s in the driving seat.

To have a friend you must be a friend.

Even when we ache we don’t have to be a pain.

My wife is nearly always right!

The man who lives for himself is a failure; the man who lives for God has achieved true success.

The more I learn the less I know.

Character is forged in the crucible of life.

It’s only in dictionaries that success comes before work.

At the heart of any problem is the problem of the heart.

One with God is a majority.

It’s not good to compare myself to others.

Little is much when God is in it.
