Life- Part 3

Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more;
with your own eyes you will see them.
Isaiah 30:20  (NIV)

And even more things I’ve learnt about life:

Persistence overcomes adversity.

Maturity begins when we learn to look up.

It’s a good thing to have a funny bone up your sleeve.

It’s better to have nothing and be humble than to have riches and be proud.

Sin has a penalty but Christ is the remedy.

It’s vital to watch whom I serve, consider what I study, and guard what I say.

God wants to be worshipped on His terms – not on my terms.

A man’s integrity is tested by his behaviour when he’s wrong.

We’ll only know God’s will for our lives when we pause long enough to listen.

You only get a kick out of life when you jump in with both feet.

To whom much is given; much will be expected.

It would be better to walk in the dark with Jesus than to walk in the light by myself.

Authority without compassion is oppression.

It’s best to live each day with a heavenly focus and a worldly usefulness.

Suffering and love are inextricably linked.

A sacrificial spirit and a servant spirit beat a striving spirit hands down.

You only grow old if you forget to throw out bad habits and think new thoughts.

Humility is the root of virtue and pride the root of sin.

God blesses what He possesses.

Death is a T-junction, not a dead end.

No matter where I search, where I turn, and what I discover; I’m destitute without Christ.
