Some years ago while vacationing in Florida, USA, my wife Karen and I were fascinated by a number of billboards along the highways advertising messages from God. They were white letters plainly printed on a black background. Nothing else. There was no indication on the billboards as to who paid for the advertising, so I cannot acknowledge the source(s) but can only voice my appreciation to those who originated them. Here’s a sampling of the messages:

BIG BANG THEORY, YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING – GOD

DON’T MAKE ME COME DOWN THERE – GOD

THAT “LOVE THY NEIGHBOR” THING . . . I MEANT IT – GOD

NEED DIRECTIONS? – GOD

YOU THINK IT’S HOT HERE? – GOD

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHERE YOU’RE GOING? – GOD
