What would Jesus do?

Going to my school. Working nine to five. Cooking supper. Living with my family. Spending time with friends. Going to my church. Driving my car. Spending my pay-cheque. Going on vacation. Mowing my lawn. Shovelling snow. Playing squash. Taking the dog for a walk. Grieving for a loved one who’s died. Vacuuming my house. Cleaning the dishes. Nursing a sick child. At my son’s birthday party. Speaking on the phone. Watching T.V. Writing a letter to my Dad. Standing in my shower. Typing at my computer. Disciplining my children. Talking to the neighbour. Reading a book. Studying for exams . . . Walking in my shoes.

What would Jesus do? When no one else can see. When no one else can hear. When no one else knows. What would Jesus do?

When opportunity presents itself at someone else’s expense. When one man’s meat is another man’s bread. When life gets complicated or seems unjust. What would Jesus do?

Jesus said;

I can do nothing by myself; I can only do what I see my Father doing (cf. John 5:19).

“I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me” John 8:28.

“I do exactly what my Father has commanded me” John 14:31.

Likewise, when wondering, WWJD? Do nothing by yourself; do only what you see the Father doing; speak only what the Father’s taught you; and do exactly what the Father’s commanded you.
