Holiness and happiness go hand in glove. God is the “Father of Laughter.” And “joy is the serious business of heaven” C. S. Lewis.

So smile awhile. Consider a good guffaw, or at least a snicker, a twitter, a chortle, a hiss, a blast, or a wheeze. For “a cheerful heart is good medicine” Proverbs 17:22. And “the joy of the Lord is your strength” Nehemiah 8:10.

Due to a conflict the peacemaking meeting scheduled for today has been cancelled.

The ladies of the church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon.

Next Sunday is the family hay-ride and bonfire at the Fowlers. Bring your own hot dogs and guns. Friends are welcome! Everyone come for a fun time.

This being Easter Sunday, Mrs. Lewis will be coming forward to lay an egg on the altar.
