For the Lost

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” Matthew 28:19-20

If you leave it to the pastor, the church will quickly die.

If you leave it to the seniors, the youth will pass it by.

For a church can never function with a few who do the work,

And the church will never grow if believers try to shirk.

Now each of us works hard, for all that we enjoy.

But let’s be sure we don’t forget, every unsaved girl and boy.

We need to pause, to stop and think, of life with no church here,

Of the children in our country, in a secular atmosphere.

When you see a church that’s empty, when the people stay outside.

It’s more than a vacant building – it’s the vision that has died.

For it’s not by one or two that the work of the church is done,

It’s through a united witness that the lost to Christ are won.

For the church’s work, its mission, is spelt out in the Word:

It’s to worship, reach, and teach, until the world to God is turned.

So ignite your passion for the lost, humble yourself at His throne,

Then move forward in the Spirit, proclaiming Christ and Him alone.
